If you are about to be poked with a needle do get some phlebotomy work  done on you you are going to want to make sure that you are going to have a good attitude a sour attitude can make the phlebotomist mad and make him or her mess up when dealing with you but try not to have a bad time and be nice and you should be able to get around the needle as soon as possible. This article is here to give you tips about dealing with a phlebotomist needle and having to make sure that you are going to not be in pain allot just from having a simple blood test done.

One more tip about going to an appointment with a needle is that you are going to want to do something and that is not eat for 12-14 hours before the time you are going to give blood. The reason you do this is that there is cholesterol levels can be messed up if you do eat before that time.  Don’t eat and if you have delay your blood test to make sure that you are going to be able to have good levels in the blood and not have to deal with any problems or  any new medications your doctor might think you need if you have bad cholesterol levels.

One more tip is that when dealing with a phlebotomist realize they are people to and have a attitude like anyone else and being nice to them is going to make sure that you are not going to have a problem I have mentioned this before but I stress you don’t want someone angry when they are about to stick you with a needle. Also make sure the phlebotomist is clean so you won’t end up getting an infection from dirty hands. In most cases the phlebotomist should wear gloves.
